Books have the power to uplift, empower and transform communities.
Spearheaded by Nicolette Lewin, the drive was born from a simple but powerful idea — that access to books can change lives. Inspired by Madiba's legacy of education and service, she set out to build a campaign that not only collects books, but ensures they reach those who need them most.
Over the past decade it has grown into a national effort. To date, more than 15,000 books have been collected and distributed to charities, early-learning centres and educational NGOs across South Africa — each beneficiary hand-selected for a mission that aligns with our values: improving literacy, nurturing young minds and driving lasting social change.
